Bálint Oross and Krisztián Kiss participated in the World Skills selections, with the finals to be organised in Sao Paulo, where the best vocational students in the world will try their skills against each other.

"These fantastic results prove the high standard of our dual vocational training which our company has been operating for years in cooperation with the vocational institutes of the city”, said Dr. Elisabeth Knab, Managing Director for Human Resources of AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft.. "This helps our vocational students achieve comprehensive professional knowledge and after obtaining the craft certificate, they will be able to enter the Hungarian labour market with competitive skills“, added Dr. Elisabeth Knab.
"Most of our vocational students begin their professional careers at our company, where they are welcome by long-term secure jobs with attractive development opportunities “.

The competition was organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the goal of increasing the social prestige and attractiveness of the "physical" professions requiring practice with the slogan "A good profession is worth a diploma". In this competition, the participants had to prove their theoretical and practical skills in numerous tests.

Within the scope of the dual vocational training programme, currently 250 students are being trained in 13 different electronics and metal industry professions at Audi Hungaria.
Practice-oriented vocational training is part of the company's long-term HR strategy. This is why the company maintains a distinguished cooperation with the Lukács Sándor Vocational School of Mechatronics and Mechanics, the Pattantyús Ábrahám Géza Industrial Technical School and the Kossuth Lajos Industrial Vocational and Technical School. Vocational students obtain theoretical knowledge at school and put that into practice at Audi Hungaria's Project and Training Center. Through the course of this, the vocational students are supported by professional experts of Audi Akademie Hungaria and Audi Hungaria. Since 2001, 1400 youngsters obtained their professions in the renowned dual vocational training system of the company.

In the 3-day "Professional Star Festival", altogether 4300 Hungarian vocational students participated in 38 different professions. The theoretical and practical knowledge of the participants were assessed by a jury of experts. The finals of the "World Skills" competition will take place in Sao Paolo between 11-16 August 2015.
