AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. has opened its Project and Training Centre in Győr today. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Sándor Czomba, State Secretary for Employment Policy of the Ministry for National Economy and Thomas Sigi, Member of the Board of Management Human Ressources of AUDI AG. The recently purchased training centre will be used for the selection of new recruits, the training of existing and new employees, and it will house the offices of the new manufacturing plant project.
‘The expansion of Audi Hungaria into a vehicle manufacturing plant which can cover the complete manufacturing process requires in-depth technical knowledge both in terms of manufacturing and electrotechnical skills, as well as non-technical competencies’, emphasized Thomas Sigi, Member of the Board of Management Human Ressources of AUDI AG. ‘The new training centre allows for a further expansion of dual trainings for jobs such as electronic technicians, automation technicians and mechatronic technicians.’ This way the company will be able to provide training for an average of 100 apprentices on an annual basis.
‘The training centre is a good example of making an investment in knowledge, and it is a major step on our way to shaping the future of next generations and our future itself’, says Dr. Sándor Czomba, State Secretary for Employment Policy of the Ministry for National Economy.
Over 100 employees can participate in technical and non-technical trainings, LEAN education and practical trainings daily in the 11 000 m2 training centre. This way the staff of the new manufacturing plant will be able to learn, among others, basic skills needed in the chassis factory and coating workshops, as well as competencies required in their own specialties, such as automation technology. Practice facilities installed for trainings in assembly lines, coating workshops, the chassis factory and trainings in the field of mechatronics and electronics have been equipped with nearly 50 state-of-the-art instruments and robots.
‘We have found the right place in close proximity to Audi Hungaria to select and train new Audi recruits. This way our new staff will start their jobs in the new vehicle manufacturing plant with suitable knowledge and experience’, says Richárd Rozman, Managing Director Human Ressources of Audi Hungaria.
Audi Akademie Hungaria, the operating entity of the Project and Training Centre, employs 50 people. The realisation of practice-oriented, high quality trainings is fostered by AUDI AG and other external partners.
In addition to training courses, the training centre will also be used for the selection of the staff of the new vehicle manufacturing plant. The building will also house the offices of the ‘Factory Expansion Győr’ project.
From 2013, the Győr facilities will manufacture 500 vehicles daily, including sports cars such as the Audi TT Coupé and the TT Roadster, A3 Cabriolet models and a new A3 model as well. The vehicle manufacturer will thus create 2 100 new jobs in its Győr factory. In the future, Audi Hungaria together with its service providers and suppliers will provide a living, directly or indirectly, for more than 15 000 people in the region.
