AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft holds its first professional day for technology students today. The participants can have a glimpse into the world of engine production and vehicle manufacturing at the event. First- and second-year engineering students at Hungarian colleges and universities are expected at this series of events to be held a total of five times. The future engineers can get to know the company manufacturing innovative engines and vehicles through professional topics and exercises. The event is part of Audi Hungaria’s new personnel marketing strategy. The company can already get connected with basic degree students and get to know its potential employees more closely during the professional days.

“The foundation of our HR strategy is to ensure long-term labour supply. Due to the plant expansion, we will be taking on 1,800 new employees, including more than 300 people with higher education degrees. It is our intention to tie talented students to our company as trainees or while writing their thesis,” said Richárd Rozman, Director of Human Resources.

On average, 250 trainees work at AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft in various fields annually. The company’s professional programs emphasize practical tasks. This series of events is targeted at first- and second-year mechanical, electrical, and transportation engineering students, as well as technical manager students, who can get a glimpse into the life of such areas as engine production, production engineering, quality assurance, engine development, and vehicle and tool manufacturing during the professional day events. The specific technical tasks are solved – through brainstorming and with the help of solution strategies – in groups.

The engine and vehicle manufacturing company has been in a strategic relationship with Széchenyi István University in Győr, as well as Budapest University of Technology and Economic for many years now. Audi Hungaria organizes series of lectures and operates research institutes at both universities. These institutes are engaged in research, development, and profession-related projects, as well as offer research topics and professional lectures to doctoral students.

This cooperation with universities has already shown many results. One of them is that Audi Hungaria has been voted the “Most Attractive Company” in 2011 already for the third time by students in the survey conducted by Aon Hewitt and AIESEC. The engine and vehicle manufacturing company took first place in the logistics category in the ‘KarrierStart’ survey as well.
